ARTSCIENCE

I’m a Chemist and I work at the Department of Biochemical Sciences of Sapienza – University of Rome, where I deal with the relationship between structure and function of proteins.

As a child I’ve always been a lover of Lego bricks, so I’ve always thought of chemistry as the Lego of nature. From there, switching to Biochemistry, the Lego of life, was an almost obvious step. Proteins are macromolecules with the strangest and most fascinating shapes. They have wonderful structures, whose beauty will never stop amazing us.

I have always drawn and painted and in 2005 I started to exhibit my works. From 2016 to 2018 I was part of the Carrè d’Artistes international circuit of art galleries; this experience helped me to finally achieve a personal and recognizable style.

Finally, it is from the late 90s that I am passionate about graphics, and in 2011 I followed a master in 3D rendering modeling and animation at Quasar Design University, which allowed me to start working as a scientific illustrator and cover artist.

Having always carried out the scientific and artistic research work in parallel, I finally decided to make my two souls coexist in a single container.
